Hello i am using Kodi 16.1 downloaded it from Older releases on your website but it keeps updating to the new version why if the old is what i want to use

Disable auto updates in Play store.

Maybe you need to change the play store settings so apps do not auto update?

It is updated from Android - that is, Play store. Turn off auto updates in Play.

i did disable it but when others log on with their email/password it does it and its driving me nutz that's why i downloaded it from website not google play? If i disable google play would that work

If you are rooted and can disable play, it would definitely work. I have play (and play services) disabled on my android box, because I don't need it

You probably need to disable the updates for each user of the box...if you want to keep it available.
