I have just downloaded and installed Kodi Krypton over a working version of Kodi Jarvis. When I open Kodi Krypton I now get the error message "Kodi has stopped working".
Has anyone any suggestions as to what the problem could be?
No clue whatsoever because there is no information to go on.
You could try and create a
debug log (wiki).
If its not possible to create one you can try and use advancedsettings to achive this. Wiki will provide all neccesary info.
If all else fails i suggest you do a clean install:
- uninstall current version
- answer Yes to uninstalling profile data
- goto start-run-%appdata% and delete or rename directory 'kodi'
- install v17
Note that you do loose all data/settings which i reckon in your case should be a good thing.

I have done a clean install and Kodi Krypton is working fine now.
