This is a general skin question: What does each skin need to build its own thumbnails? I have a share pointing to all of my photos (about 8k of photos) and whenever I try a new skin I'm greeted with a dialog box saying "Scanning media Information. Loading media information from files". And about 10 minutes later I can look at my photos (or start a slide show, etc).
Am I doing something wrong?

There's no database for pictures so you can only stop the scan.

OK, but why is it scanning every time I try a new skins?
