I'd like to know your settings for audible dialog, when using external stereo amplifier
Today, I have "Maintain volume on downmix" enable, and "center channel boost" = 5dB.
It's working quite good on TV shows, but not on many Movies.
And I would prefer to keep my multi-channel video concerts untouched.
So another way to go is to set "volume" and "volume amplification" in the video GUI, and apply it for all movies/tv shows/
But I use a shared mysql DB, so i'd prefer not too save and share "volume amplification" as it would depende of the receiver.
I tried to patch kodi to add an action named ACTION_CYCLE_DRC (similar to subtitle one), and cycle between drc presets (off/low/high) defined in avancedsettings.xml.
It should adjust volume amplification and volume, but how hardware, application, player, stream and audio engine volume are managed is not clear for my understanding after reading the source code.
