Lot of popular media center APP support Android MediaPlayer like: Plex, MX player , Archos video Player.

so... i am thinking about : why kodi not support Android MediaPlayer ? or better .....why kodi support both Android MediaPlayer and MediaCodec?

I suppose MediaCodec is right interface for media center , but Android MediaPlayer is more popular and with less issue about ANdroid SDK/ firmware implementation.

but maybe i'm in wrong..
