Quote:This brand new website has been developed by Granqvist and co-developed by DarkDonno. Chokemaniac made the graphics.
It's been in development for 2 years, and it's "mostly" finished. Much content is unpolished, incidentally this was why we requested a 'content master' a while back, but we never got a suitable candidate for the job. This position is still very much unfilled.

We will also use a new domain from now on, XBMC.ORG which we got from our french teammember Modhack (he's now relocated to XBMC.FR).
Please don't try and use XBMC.COM as this domain is owned by none other than Randy Saaf of MediaDefender (!).
Our old domain xboxmediacenter.com will continue to function, and emails will arrive regardless of used domain.

Great work! I really like the new website design and layout. But i am missing the search form in the wiki Smile
VDRfan: yeh im going to add a Search button to the 'Toolbox' at the bottom of the page.
We previously had a Search Textbox/form on the right but it looked crap, mucked up content. and end of the day the search on mediawiki isn't all that powerful its usually easier to google.

I absolutly love the new design, kudos team xbmc, donno and especially Choke! Shame Choke won't be staying, would love to see PM4 Smile Smile
Wow, i really like it too. Looks very nice. Surprised to see the older XBMC logo used though. Looks commercialized with new look overall. Went to check on something in wiki instructions, and was like "WOW, that looks great!!!" when i saw the new design. Great job!!! Glad to know that xboxmediacenter.com will still work, so used to going to that.
I love the new website so much easier to navigate to find things and I love the whole history section explaining how XBMC got to were it is today.
Delighted to see this great project moving always in the right direction. Thanks to all the XBMC crowd for giving me the best free software I have ever used ever seriously!!!!
New site looks great!

Just a small note, the header is only partially displayed in Firefox 3 Beta 2 (on Windows atm). Could be Firefox as the html/css looked alright to me, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.

I'm seeing the truncated header image in FF3b2 on Windows as well, but I can see the full image in IE7 (eww).

Also, I would LOVE to see an rss feed for the news section!

Other than that, the site looks great, keep up the good work!
great work on it! looks like it has alot of info!
also link at bottom of page goes to http://wiki.xbmc.org/Main_Page
instead of http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Main_Page
Really guys, it's nice. I like it, But like me you like PARTY MODE more!

I'm sure you already know * Ability to sort your music

@Nick8888, thanks for that. Thats a result of me missing something when the ShortUrls for the wiki broke Smile.

I would like to argue that the main page should get you directly to http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=XBMC_Online_Manual

instead of http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Main_Page

Thanks Wink

This is now fixed... I've also made the entire texture a clickable home-link.
Wow... just wow, thats a really beautiful design, love the layout, colors and the use of space.

I'm especially digging the
"Recent SVN Trunk Activity" addition, although for my purposes an rss feed would be nice (am pratically checking every day anyway)

The screenshot's page is really nice, and has a very professional touch.

To bad the "forums" sorta let the rest of the site's design down... but still, this is very good work Nod.
