I'm struggling with the channel logos atm, I just don't really find a perfect size where the downscaled versions don't look bad. Using SVG logos would solve that issue and work in any kind of situation.

Let me add some note to this is I maintain a popular logo pack myself and I've also written a lot about size and scaling.
Not all logo's are available in this format or are easily made... but that's not the problem.
So far all the backends I've looked at don't support .svg format... so this would be a Kodi only feature.
What I'm trying to say is if you update a logo it in the backend you still have update the same logo in kodi and visa versa.
To me it makes just more sense you change the logo in 1 place.
Also there's a lot of changing tv logo's over time.
Just keep this in mind it might not be the perfect solution you thought it was.
