Post a Debug log (wiki).
Thanx for you help but, maybe I didn't explain it correctly:
When I click on the KODI icon the blue circle appears for 3-5 sec... then nothing. I have KODI on a stick & on a Mac Mini, I know what it's suppose to do...but, it's
Log file gets always created although when kodi is crashing immediately / doesn't start.

Have a look at If you cannot control Kodi or if it crashes before you can complete these steps.
Please can someone assist me, i have windows 7 professional, i was running Kodi Jarvis perfectly. I then downloaded Krypton. After having issues with installing services packs, i managed to get Kodi to install. when clicking on open Kodi, i get this message: Kodi has stopped working, check online for solution and close the program/ close program. Checking online does nothing and when clicking on the view problem details, the first line says: PROBLEM EVENT NAME: APPCRASH

Post a Debug log (wiki).
@IceMan311 Read the important sticky post at the top of this forum on exactly that topic.

@CurtisG It would be better if you started your own thread, including required debug log, as you have a different issue.
Mine will not start either 17.1 win7x64 try older versions same result do not know how to due a debug log but below are my errors

@falconltd - follow either of the links already given that describe how to get a debug log. Post it to a public paste site (e.g. pastebin.com) and post the link back here.
Thanx everybody for your help, I followed the instructions from: [Solved] first time user installed 17.1 and kodi wont open...
...and everything is good!!!

Just a guess by a n00b...but it looks like your audio settings are messed up. Might check the audio output settings, Nvidia drivers and default settings for Win 7 for the default playback device.

From your log:

Code:
37.14:33:21.573 T:2260  NOTICE: CAESinkWASAPI::EnumerateDevicesEx: stream type "STREAM_TYPE_DTSHD" on device "DELL U3415W-4 (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)" seems to be not supported.
flhthemi Thank you, you where wright fixed audio setting, updated Nvidia drivers works great All fixed Nod

I would really appreciate it if someone can assist me...

Every time I open Kodi Krypton 17.1, it crashes before I can even do anything. The grey background and Kodi logo would come up. It will even go into the main page Kodi, but after 3 seconds a message saying "Kodi has stopped working and will be forced to closed down" will come up.

http://pastebin.ca/3797961... this is my old log file
http://pastebin.ca/3797965.......this my new

Can someone please assist me. I am not tech savy, so please break down into directions you would like me to do.

Thanks

And same answer than your previous post:

1- do not hijack thread
2- no support for kodi installation contaminated with banned addons (wiki)
