DO I need to revert back to 14.1 as 17.1 krypton is just like 16, when try and watch a video, i only get sound no picture just a flashing type of screen. Done all the windows updates that were needed and still nothing.

To understand what problem you are experiencing, we will need to view your debug log. Instructions on how to create and post are here... http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

When you turn Debugging ON, reboot your computer, then replicate the problem you are having with your movies. Then post the log.

@ph_wynne77 if all you have is DirectX9 capable hardware, I would recommend http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/win32/ol...engard.exe

Try disabling video hardware acceleration.
