I've tried everything I can think of to get Kodi to allow me to view movies in full screen mode but nothing has worked for me so far, any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. :-)

With your movie playing, open the OSD display (tap the screen), go to settings (the cog icon in the bottom right) then video settings and view mode.

If you select stretch 4:3 the movie should play full screen, but it may look odd. But have a play with the various options there and see if you can find an acceptable one.

The S2 is a 4:3 ratio tablet (I'm typing this on one) and so normal "wide-screen" 16:9 films don't fit without the black bars at top and bottom.
