It happens if the signal brakes up and there is no signal sometimes freezes.
If I pause the TV for a long time say 10 to 15 mins,I come back a press play ans maybe 1 minute in it will stop and freeze kodi and have to force stop Kodi.
I did post this in PVR & Live TV Support under NextPVR and found out its Kodi not NextPVR,

Sounds like both NextPVR and Kodi need a update to work together..
Its a shame cos this is the only problem it has with live TV,once this is fixed it will be fine.
