I have a Matricom G-Box Q (original) that has been running Kodi Jarvis just fine since it was released. I recently updated to Krypton (17.0), but was unable to update any movies or TV shows (error message: "Could not download information. Unable to connect to remote server. Would you like to continue scanning?"), so I uninstalled and reverted back to 16.1. When 17.1 became available, I tried again with the same result and backed out again. Matricom then pushed a firmware update, so I tried once more -- again with the same results.
Matricom is refusing to support "3rd party software" in spite of the fact that pre-installed Kodi was a major selling point for the Q.
Aside from the fact that I prefer what I saw of the new UI, I would hate to think that I am locked into an older version without the ability to upgrade in the future.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
