So one of my add-ons is named plugin.tvnz.ondemand.
A user pointed out this should actually be plugin.video.tvnz.ondemand

I already have quite a few users using it and my repo...

Was wondering if there is a way to push an addon ID change in the addons.xml file?

+1 it would be interesting to know this

There isn't except telling the ones who already installed it to reinstall the new plugin ID and remove the other one.
Changing the plugin "name" is something that doesn't affect upgrade.


However in my opinion the plugin.video.* is more a guideline than a hard rule.
