Hello everyone, thanks for the great work, you are sharing.

I have an issue with my 4K TV Sony KD 49XD7005. My TV support 4k resolution but kodi runs with fhd and 60 fps, but I don't have the option to change it in 4K. What can I do?

I run kodi 17.1 and Android 6.0.1.

Android cannot Auto Resolution switch from 1080p <<-->> 4K on the fly - you have to go into Android Settings > Resolution and manually switch it to a 4K resolution before starting Kodi if you want true 4K video playback from 4K video files.

If you see 1080p in Kodi then it refers to the 1080p Kodi graphic user interface, which the TV will upscale to 4K.

It does play 4K files at 4K, actually (verified on my Sony). But it chokes on high bitrate stuff...

You can't change the refresh rate, it's always 60hz.
