How can I managed to open and play a MpegTS stream?

I did it a long time ago but can't recall the exact steps.

From what I remember is you put the address in a txt file and save it with an extension. In Kodi you go to videos and open file and the stream would start.

Anybody knows how to do this?

Thanks
Is this what you are thinking of...

Yes that's it. The link I put into the text file (with extension .strm) works on VLC so I know the link is good but I can't "import" the file to be played in Kodi

I created a folder on the desktop and put the .strm file in it. Kodi sees the folder but not the file

VIDEOS--->FILES-->ADD VIDEOS-->BROWSE-->SELECT FOLDER-->OK-->OK

But it says the folder contains 0
OK I got it It's the MacOS text editor. When you save the file it saves it as a rtf but just changing the extension to .strm doesn't change anything The new created file extension just becomes .strm.rtf but only .strm shows up so you need to right click on the .strm.rtf file and delete the .rtf extension
Nice work. Who hasn't been caught out by those file extensions. Smile

Thanks for sharing in case others get caught out.
Thread marked solved.
