KODI 17.3 downloaded from https://kodi.tv/download

Device is MBOX AMLogic S905 - Model T95N-2G - version 5.1.1

CPU 64-bit ARM (4XARM Coretex-A53@2Ghz)

Android: 5.1.1 (Lollipop) - API Level 22

Rooted : Yes

The download I downloaded is kodi-17.3-Krypton-arm64-v8a.apk

When I install this says "installing" for a while with the progress bar updating and then it says "APP NOT INSTALLED" - there is no other message. I am not sure if I can see any logs as I do not know if one is written anywhere?

I have previously had 17.0 installed on the same device (removed / rebooted)

I also went through a similar hassle to install 17 and I could never install 17.1

Any ideas?

To use the 64 bit apk you need not only a 64 bit cpu, but also a 64 bit version of android.

Your android OS may be 32 bit, so try the 32 bit apk.

Or move up in the world and use libreelec Wink

So your angry Huh, what at Kodi developers ?

Please learn to READ the Very obvious self help threads first !

An extract from the ***** START HERE - Kodi Krypton problems - and common Android FAQ's with Help ***** thread.

arm64-v8a Kodi can only be installed on the 64bit Intel/Android OS = the nVIDIA Shield or the FireTV2.

This is me being kind, I actually had to delete the other Frustrated, Angry post due what can only be viewed now as continual Kodi user laziness.
