issue is the tv guide does not close/disappear after selecting a channel.
so in tv guide select program then select switch. the channel comes on but the tv guide stays overlayed?

please note i have posted this issue both here and in libreelec forum, as im not sure if it kodi or libreelec issue.

can anyone help me.

thank you.
Press 'ok' again.
if i press "ok" again it brings back up the channel info with all the options again eg "ok, record, switch" etc. if i press switch again then it disappears.
Hmmm odd. The only other suggestion I can make is to press back until you get full screen video.
which is what im doing. but not really a good solution. also it didnt happen in previous version? really odd.
Does this happen on other skins?
yes Estuary skin as well
What backend are you using?
it libreelec v8.0.2 as i said above not sure if it kodi or libreelec. so am asking at both places.
I'll put it another way then, what PVR addon are you using?
sorry misunderstood. HTS Tvheadend 4.1.2415 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v8.1.109 backend
and
tvheadendhtsp client v3.4.23.1

"Settings -> PVR & Live TV -> Playback -> Start playback minimised" is your friend. ;-))

Doesn't that only affect channels?
It doesn't change playback from the guide for me, certainly.
ok going back to the original question. can anyone replicate or has seen this issue? thanks

See my last post. Adjusting the setting should help.
