I am reading my pictures of a WD Mycloud through a samba share. Whilst flicking through them in kodi it sometimes closes kodi without warning.

Thanks for the suggestion. However my problem is not consistently with one file.
After kodi crashes I can go back into pictures and I will be able to view the picture the previous crash occurred on but then a crash may occur on a later picture. I wonder if it's an issue with how kodi interacts with the samba share. I can view the same pictures through other software such as dfolio without problems.
