Hi all,

I just managed to connect my macbook pro (10.12.3) with KODI 17(on Raspberry). I can browse my mbp movies from raspberry and even stream some (like one MPEG4 XVID low res). But When I tried a 720p (also MPEG4 XVID) or a 1080p (MPEG4 H264 AVC p10), i only get the sound (if no accelaration is selected) or black screen if ompxplayer is selected....
This is what I get in the kodi crash log
"NOTICE: Creating audio stream (codec id: 86019, channels: 6, sample rate: 48000, no pass-through)"

Any ideas?
Please post a full debug log (wiki) to a paste site.
No support for 10-bit H264 (MPEG4 H264 AVC p10).
I haven't seen an XVID file that didn't play. Can you provide mediainfo output?
Hi!
Here is the debug log : http://paste.ubuntu.com/24801646/

And mediainfo output:
Overall bit rate : 4 449 kb/s
Writing library : VirtualDub build 32842/release
Video : 3 799 kb/s, 1280*696 (1.85:1), at 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS, MPEG-4 Visual (XviD) (Packed bistream) (Advanced Simple@5L) (BVOP2)
Audio : 640 kb/s, 48.9 kHz, 16bits, 6 channels, AC-3
There is no hardware decoder for xvid on the RPi, but it should play fine in Kodi on a Pi 3 if you select MMAL enabled and OMXPLAYER disabled, which is the default for RPi 2/3.

PS: And you have to set the GPU memory for at least 160 MB (you have only 64) for fullHD playback. The recomended for the PI 2/3 is 256 MB.
omg. that was the trick. i set the GPU memory to 256 and now everthing is smoothier and also it plays the movie...! thanks!
SOLVED!

EDIT: it even plays the "MPEG4 H264 AVC p10" movie now! Big Grin Big Grin
