Hi maintainers,
is it possible to add support for individual programme thumbnails? I've written a few EPG scrapers in the last two weeks. The scrapers provide an "<icon>" entry for a preview thumbnail in ever programme. I know that this is not a part of the XMLTV spec, but this would be a very nice addition to enhance the user experience. I can provide example m3u/xml files.
Here is a very small and untested patch: https://github.com/prof-membrane/pvr.iptvsimple. This should work, because Kodi differentiates between the channel icon and the item thumbnail. Unfortunately, I'm not able to compile Kodi right now (my distro is too old - I will upgrade this weekend).
My two questions:
Is this feasible?
Would you implement this/accept a patch?
