Debug log
Unfortunately the log doesn't provide any useful information. I don't know how to solve the issue (that may be is not related to the add-on itself...).

Alex
That you cant solve it is maybe true. I can hardy imagine how hard it is to Code That, and have it running on any System from Android to Windows.

That "no Internet connection" prompt is and was not in addon before. Only in this one. And not only on my System. I saw that Bug posted here before. My System is clean. Maybe its running fine on Android and on LE it causes trouble, i saw That before. That multi-platform compatibility is not That easy.

So I'm sorry something is wrong with it obviously. Would be happy to use ist.

Greetings

* Edit * I'm running CE latest stable 19.4-Matrix_rc2

Hi @moejoe, as reported in my previous posts, in order to check the Internet connection the add-on just tries to reach google.com. Would you be so kind to try the patch posted here? This will avoid the Internet check...after that just try to update a single movie and a TV show episode through the context menu and check if the ratings have been updated properly. Please post also the update.log file (not the debug log of Kodi).

Let me know.

Alex
Aaaah I See. Google doenst like my vpn :p
That's the cause. They don't believe me that I'm a human and so on

Ty I'll try it.

Ok, I see. Let me know if now you are able to update the ratings. If yes, I could add an option to disable the Internet check (or find another reference address to do it instead of google.com).

Cheers!
Yeah or just remove the promt. If its not updating and no Internet connection Is the cause, then it's OK for an addon to stay silent and just kill the task.

...and in case is not going to update the ratings because no Internet connection, people will just start to complain that the add-on is ot working...well, I definitely prefer the pop-up message!  Nod
Everyone who Uses kodi will have an Internet connection. Imagine how many people try your addon and uninstall it right away coz of that Pop up. I did.

Without "tweaking" it, it doesnt work out of the Box for many users. It's a little awkward to Check Googles DNS. Why dont you ping imdb?

It won't Block vpn and everything is fine Smile
I have this add-on installed and enabled but how do you run it? I don't need to schedule it to run weekly or anything. I'm more just looking to update the IMDb Top250 (as flawed a list as it is) than every single movie in my library.
Hello there I'm haing same issue as KOD1USER1138.

I installed it, but can't run it's greyed out.

It is quite straight forward...just click the icon of the add-on!  Nod

Hi Alex,

Just like a few users above reported, I can't get the addon to run manually. I'm running Matrix 19.4.
I have the latest version installed but the 'run' button is greyed out in the addon's settings page. I see your post about 'clicking the addon icon' but I've tried clicking everything (in all addon menus) and nothing works.

If the addon can be run manually, why is the run button greyed out?
Thanks for your help.

How are you accessing the addon? Click the icon on the home screen, or highlight a movie/tv show and select Update Ratings from the Context menu
