Hi all,
i've one old file I cannot play using Kodi 17.3 on Rpi2 (LibreElec) and also tested on 17.1 on Windows. This file is stored on smb share, but also tried to play using local drive ( D: ) , getting the same result. The file seems to be ok because I can play it normally using VLC. Also, played before (marked as seen on database) on Kodi using older versions. I tried to play it using kodi 15.0 and it fails, but using xbmc 13.2 it works.

This is the error :

Code:

I've posted the whole log, enabling debug log with video degub at https://pastebin.com/LrPGF476

Thanks for your help!!
I know it's not going to identify the fault, but can you just run it through MKVtoolnix?

Hi,
thanks for your reply. It's not an MKV. It's a "fake" AVI....

Using GSpot for getting properties, the program told it was a RAR file (Confused)... so i changed the extension of the file and... tada!!!! IT WAS A REAL RAR FILE! So I extracted the AVI and everything is working fine!

I though it was a video bug or somethink like that in new Kodi versions because VLC played fine the file, but now I know the problem was the RAR support removed on later versions after Kodi 13.2.

Thanks!
Thread marked solved.
