I Tried reScanning my MusicDB, but Kodi crash on the "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" OST, the Album was already in the DB, but I changed the genre tag.
retagging the CD did not help, same happen on kodi 17.3

on my Libreelec box (17.3) rescanning works fine

A bit surprized by the "crash" and I don't know what that was about. But what I see from log and tag image is a tagging mismatch.

Add an ALBUMARTISTS (note the "S") tag to help Kodi match "Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross" to the two album artist mbids it has. It appears in band names so "and" can not be taken as an item separator.

ALBUMARTISTS = "Trent Reznor / Atticus Ross"

Picard sadly does not add this tag by default, but you can set a script to do so.

funny thing is "Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds" work and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts also works

Yep. "Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds" is a single artist with " and " in the name, it has one matching mbid see https://musicbrainz.org/artist/97e8fb6a-...4c038195b6

Similarly with "Joan Jett and the Blackhearts" see https://musicbrainz.org/artist/46e63d3b-...f638a45ea0

Only "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" is a collaboration album (has more than one album artist). Two artists in their own right, and thus two artist mbids.
