Good afternoon and thanks for the opportunity to participate on this forum. This is my first post so I wish to introduce myself. I'm a KODI user from Puerto Rico but living currently in Tampa, Florida.

I recently bought a cheap Android TV Box with an Amlogic S905 Quad Core CPU and installed from your website the X86 Release version of Kodi, as this box did not had a factory-installed version of the app. I'm asking since I notice that Kodi is running so slow that it gets forever to load anything. The issue is not with my connection as I have other Android boxes and they are working fine. My connection speed is 50 Mbps on both directions.

I believe that the issue is probably a wrong version of Kodi installed but the problem is I cannot install the other versions, even when this box claims to have a 64-bit CPU.

This is the box in reference: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072HG...UTF8&psc=1

Please advice!!
According to the spec you posted you need the ARM version, not X86.

PUERSIT Q2 Pro powered by the Amlogic S905 4K Ultra-HD chip with four 64 bit ARM Cortex-A53 cores
Ok. Do you recommend me to download and copy it to a flash drive instead of downloading it directly to the boxes memory? For some reason I got installation errors when I tried the first time.
Thanks for the reply. I will check that info and let you know!
Why does no one start with the bleeding obvious thread ? - seriously how hard can it be to browse a forum ?

I made the obvious to me.that was to search for the box's processor. Last reply directed me.to.update the firmware and not to the correct version for the box as I asked. Sorry if my question bothered you.
Not specifially aimed at you but a shout to everytone with the exact same question.

Then simply download Kodi Krypton from the Google Playstore - the correct version will auto download. The very easy method is to make sure you are signed into Google on your Android device and then find a PC / Mac / Tablet and use its Web browser and the Goggle Playstore to view and install Apps to your Android media player.

Q. Where can I download Kodi Krypton 17.0 final for Sideloading (using X-Plore File Manager App) from a USB Stick ?

arm64-v8a can only be installed on the 64bit Intel/Android OS = the nVIDIA Shield or the FireTV2.
Thanks for your reply. That was the logical thing to do. I already know as I'm not a newbie. The problem was that the box didn't wanted to complete the installation from the Play Store so I had to choose one of the Kodi versions manually and the only one that I was able to install was for X86 processors.

Thanks!
I really have my doubts that your box has an Amlogic S905 for $28 US, especially since you say it won't install the Kodi version meant for those Android boxes. Perhaps you can open the box and see what the internals really are.
To confirm the processor type, get CPUZ from the play store.

Also, from the play store, you can try Kodi, or SPMC

IF you have a S905, you can install Libreelec, follow the installation instructions, but install to Microsd card first, when you are happy with it, you can install to the NAND, which means, it will run quicker, but then you will not have android
John Galt has a alpha port of Kodi 18 (Leia) that includes the ability to play Netflix at 720p with DD+ (Dolby Digital Plus). His port plays most videos very well, including HD audio. It will run on a fast microSD card, so your Android OS is left untouched, as bubblegume57 has stated above.

Very easy to install and try.
