FYI,

Weirdly enough, on my Wetek Core box, Aptoide offered Kodi 18 Alpha 1 as an update for the stable version of Kodi 17!

I installed it and it crashes at the splash screen during the "Clearing cache" message.

There is no 18 alpha, yet.

At best, it's a random nightly.
At worst, it's malware-ridden.

PS To be clear, we don't use aptoid at all

Actually we do have an aptoide "store" to try and prevent malware uploads but imo it's a horrible shit show where you'd best stay away from.

Well, this "18 alpha1" from yesterday is definitely not from us
