Hi,
It seems a couple of settings are missing in Kodi 17.3 + 18 for the Pulse Eight CEC adapter in Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 x64) - the options are present in Windows installer 17.3. The options that are missing are "HDMI port number" and "Connected to HDMI device". No matter what I try Kodi Linux switches my AVR to input 2, when it should be on input 3. Input from the TV remote works though. Everything works as should in Win 10 + Kodi 17.3 on the same PC.
I have tried:
-Updating to a test version of libcec from the Pulse Eight PPA - v4.0.2.3
-Ensure I'm using the latest firmware - v7
-Manually edit the settings for "cec_hdmi_port" and "connected_device" in ~.kodi/userdata/peripheral_data/usb_2548_1002_CEC_Adapter.xml - settings are ignored
-Edited /usr/share/kodi/system/peripherals.xml - I can make the options appear by deleting the line "<setting key="physical_address" type="string" label="36021" value="0" order$", but even after getting the notification that the adapters settings have been updated and a kodi restart, the HDMI port setting is back on 1, though this time it switches my AVR to another input. When re-entering the CEC adapter settings the options are back on what they original were.
-Edited the default values in /usr/share/kodi/system/peripherals.xml - no effect.
-Compiling libcec from git - getting a error
-Copying usb_2548_1002_CEC_Adapter.xml and peripherals.xml from the working windows install - no effect
-Updating to Kodi 18 - same issue.
-Found a OE forum thread about the same issue - no solution in that thread.
-Reinstalling Kodi 17.3 from the stable PPA - same issue.
-Deleting my ~/.kodi directory and trying a fresh setup - same issue.
-Running "sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyACM0" - no effect.
-Unplugging and re-plugging in the adapter while Kodi is running - dis/reconnected is detected by Kodi but has no effect.
-Probably missed something else I tried - this is all from memory.
Kodi 17.3 debug log file of me navigating to the CEC adapter options (with no modifications to peripherals.xml)
~.kodi/userdata/peripheral_data/usb_2548_1002_CEC_Adapter.xml
Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? I'm stumped!
