I'm new to kodi my version is 16.1 and every hour or so I get kicked back o the main menu. It'll stutter, or lose sound, then it crahes. It will not keep the correct time either. I don't know if those issues are related or not.

You will need to provide a debug log. The instructions are in my signature. Use the Basic method. Once you have enabled debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, restart Kodi then replicate the problem. In your case, do whatever you do that gets you kicked back to the Main Menu. Once done upload to pastebin and link back here. Be aware of our forum rules.
