I installed Kodi 17.3 on a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, but when I try to start Kodi I get a system error saying that the file api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0.dll is not installed on the computer and that I should try to reinstall the program again. I have re-installed kodi twice, once letting the program un-install the old version and once un-installing and the re-booting the system before installing Kodi, but still I get the same error.

I have tried to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015, but I get an error during the installation. I have also tried to update Windows, but nothing helps.

Update: After uninstalling a few things I managed to get Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 installed, but the the computer started complaining about VCRUNTIME140.dll not being installed.

Any ideas what might cause this problem?

Thanks
