OK, LibreElec KODI workstation is almost complete.... I am just having a little trouble adding the TV SHOWS and MOVIES section to the main menu...

I have edited the /storage/.config/samba.conf file to reflect my settings.. http://sprunge.us/gVKd

But they don't seem to carry over into the /etc/samba/smb.conf http://sprunge.us/Aedg

One of the bigger problems this causes is my workgroup is constantly changed to WORKGROUP from STARFLEET (Trek Geek from WAY back.. Big Grin)

I am not sure where i am messing up...
Setting local drives is one thing, scanning your drives into the video library is another.
Where/how are those 4 & 6TB drives attached? Onto your LibreELEC workstation itself or onto some remote LAN machine?

FYI, this is the standard procedure for scanning videos: http://kodi.wiki/view/Set_content_and_scan
Thanx for the reply.. The HDs are mounted in a PC workstation....

To access them now, I have to go to VIDEOS/FILES and they are all listed there...

I'll check that wiki..

Thanx again...
Just curious... If those 2 drives are internal drives, and if your PC workstation is your only Kodi client at the same time, why do you need to edit samba settings at all? Or are there more than one kodi boxes in your household?

Nope.. No other boxes.. I just thought that thats where I needed to edit to get the listings up on the main menu..

I see now that it's the SET CONTENT option I need, not the SMB settings.. Big Grin
Indeed. Samba is for file-sharing over a computer network.
LibreELEC will auto-mount internal drives, which can then be selected as content drives to scanned. And so on. Smile
And it also put up the items in the main menu too!! Big Grin

Thanx again.....
