I want to add a TV series that exists in thetvdb,com but under a different language than English. It seems that kodi is not able to find those.
What can I do to recognize those?

Is the non-English name known at all at thetvdb.com ?
You could also scrape them under the English name, and manually rename them in Kodi.
Which could be a challenge when the number of foreign series goes up.

The series is only in a foreign language on the site unfortunately.
I would have to add it in english to do that... so there is no way kodi can detect other languages?
You need to change the language in the Scraper settings.

Thanks, already tried that, did not seem to work immediately. Since you confirmed it now, will re-try with a restart.
Also, ensure that the language is available at the scraper site.
If you are not sure how to check that, post the TV Show name and the preferred language here, and I can look it up for you
