Hi, I'm setting up a remote with LIRC and a serial IR receiver, and I have a problem with double key presses; I've read about a
remoterepeat option to add in the
advancedsettings.xml file, but it seems to be gone! The
wiki page just reports "<remoterepeat> - Removed", and trying to set it anyway (obviously) does not work. So, how can I achieve the same result?

Are you sure? From what I've understood that's an intermediate layer (or similar) that Kodi doesn't use at all. In fact I tried something and went nowhere.
Does anyone know of a solution to this yet? My iOS remote is driving me crazy.
