Full Version: Artwork messed up after MySQL DB dump on additional instances

I have 3 Kodi 16.x instances. 2 LibreElec and 1 on AFTV. They all share a mysql DB, as well as a sources, media sources and playlist file. Everything is on a NAS with SMB connections

Due to some nonesense on my end, I decided to dump the MySQL DB and start over. I exported into a single file, dumped the DB, then re imported the file. All worked well. Except the AFTV instance had some art issues so I decided to delete the Thumbnails folder and textures13.db, then reboot.

Since then the tv shows have loaded fine. A few movies have worked, but very few and nothing connecting them. Different age, some watched, some not, etc.

All the movies have local <movie name>-poster.jpg and <movie name>-fanart.jpg, but that doesn't show up.

Is there any good way to get the artwork to show? I would hate to refresh 600+ movies.
Have a read through the Artwork section. You may pick up some naming inconsistencies. Artwork (wiki)

Also, Import-export_library (wiki) is a good reference. Though never used it with MySQL as I don't have that setup.
You could also copy the Textures13.db file and the Thumbnails folder from a LibreElec client to your AFTV. Things should continue fine after that.

Thanks. That was very helpful. I'll check out the python script.

Makes sense. I'll give that a shot
There are potentially problems with artwork when you export to a single file.

Shifting textures13.db and Thumbnails won't fix it if that's your problem, as the paths on libreelec and AFTV will be different.

If it were me my first port of call would be the texturecache thread.

Thank you for your reply. Looks like copying the thumbnail DB and folder did the trick for now. If it goes sideways I'll go with the texturecache tool
Thread marked solved.
