Looks like that box I have has had a factory restore, it's on 15.2 with 4.4.4, I've tried to download a few files, but i can't open them, do I need a app to open and run these file?
I don't know what files you are talking about, but if what you are trying to do is update your Android version then you need to ask elsewhere since this is NOT a general Android forum.
You should be able to install Kodi 16.1 on that box.
Sorry! That's what I was try to install, 16.1, when I download it, it won't run on its own, if I go into my downloaded folder and try to open it, it won't open from there either

Yes I do, the box is totally wiped,
Doesn't matter that it is wiped, you should be able to install an APK.
