hi all,

I am about to setup 2 Nvidia Shield TVs, both running Kodi 17.4

Both Shields will be connected over LAN and streaming files from a central NAS

Wanted to see what the best setup would be to maintain, across the 2 Shield TVs (there could be more Shields in different rooms in the future) an accurate 'watched' episode/movie state

I am a user of Trakt.tv currently which maintains my watched status

Would the best solution be to run the Trakt.tv addon on each Shield TV? Maybe this could keep everything in sync?

Many thanks in advance

Installing and signing in to Trakt on each Kodi instance will keep your watch statuses synced but a more advanced solution would be to use a central database solution such as http://kodi.wiki/view/MySQL as this would keep your partially watched statuses synced as well. This means you could start watching on one device and pick up where you left off on another.

Another solution would be to use Kodi in conjunction with a media server such as Plex or Emby who both have add-ons available.

Many thanks for the suggestions Dangelus

I think the MySQL may be a little beyond my requirements and skill so will stick with the Trakt process for the time being

Thanks again
