Good Evening everyone... If I am in the wrong place please direct me and I apologize. I want to prevent remote access to my tv android box. My question is will a VPN prevent that? please help and thanks in advance.

We do not support VPN usage here, as Kodi does not require it for normal use.
Your network router and it's firewall are what should prevent remote access, unless you've installed dodgy 3rd party addons with code that may open a back door, at which point all bets are off.

No VPN will not prevent outside access. It, in itself, is a tool for remote access.
