Hi

I have a Sony Z9D Android TV with the Kodi 17.4 app installed from the Google Play store.
When I go to play movies it frequently appears jerky (not smooth image movement).
Has anyone else experienced this and can you provide any advice?

I should also mention that I was watching movies stored on a Synology NAS connected via ethernet cable to router and TV is also connected via ethernet (not WIFI)

The processor inside Z9D is really slow. There is nothing premium about it. Putting a cheap MediaTek in such an expensive TV is a shame.

Try sideloading a current Leia nightly or SPMCv17 alpha. Leia nightlies have reduced CPU usage and SPMC has better video timings on Android TV.

To be perfectly honest though, I would return the TV or buy an external box. Smart TV capabilities are a huge pain on Sony Android TV...
