Whilst playing a film it will simply quit and go back to the main menu. I can resume the film and it will play without issue. My source (Windows server next door, ripped MKV files) is on IE not gone into power save etc.
I can replay the same film without issue it just random
Any ideas?

how are the movies getting to the player? wifi ? homeplugs?
Could be a network problem, try playing directly from usb
Or try fresh install of Kodi

It's a wired connection, will try with Kodi 17.X as opposed to SPMC to see if that helps
