I've been using my box basically to watch stuff located on my NAS drive. A 3TB loaded with videos.

Also on the Android box running Kodi 16 I have a few plugins, 9gags, VidMax, disclosetv etc

Do they now work with Kodi 17?

Most video addons will likely work, but I cannot be sure about the add-on "et cetera".
