System MINIX U9-H with Kodi 17.1

Problem: On most of DTS 5.1 Files (MKV) i have some strange Sound Hiccups occuring ~ 15-30 sec
The Movie keeps playing but the sound is gone for about 0.5 sec and conitiues normally after the hiccup.

I tried allot in the settings, some of them look like this:

Player Setup > Video > Playback > Adjust Display Refresh Rate = Always
Player Setup > Video > Processing > Allow Hardware Acceleration = ON
System Settings > Audio > Number of Channels 5.1
System Settings > Audio > Resample Quality = Medium
System Settings > Audio > Keep Audio Alive = Off
System Settings > Audio > Allow Passthrough = ON

Any Solution ?

I googled this and found some similar Threads but with much older Versions e.g. (but not real solution for me)

About the older versions, you could first start try upgrading to v17.5.1 forAndroid instead of sticking to 17.1.
@Klojum

I Installed 17.5.1 and nothing changed at all *sadface*
There are other Threads that descripte my excat Problem on another Hardware
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=307768

The funny thing tho is, that it seems to play USB Attached Files just fine (not extensively tested yet)

So this might be a Network related Problem with KODI ? Seems strange to me.

Furthermore...the "Shitty Build" in the Mentioned Thread above is not available anymore

I found one here http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/arm/

but it seems i my Box won't install it for no reason.
Hello PogoT

We are an English forum. Other languages allowed as long as you also post the English translation making it a bilingual post.
fixed my post
Ok I Finally could install the "Shitty Build" and it seems that this fixes the Sound Hiccup Problem

The really interesting question now would be "What is the Difference between the shitty build and the Regular build"

I have just bought my MINIX U9H NEO from Amazon and updated both Android and KODI to the latest version but still the Audio hick up persist every 30 seconds or so

Settings look wrong.
Suggestion Reset ALL Audio settings, then change to Expert, bottom left of Kodi settings screen.

Then only select the Audio passthrough options you want. Do NOT mess with the number of audio channels or anything else.

Player Setup > Video > Playback > Adjust Display Refresh Rate = Always
That should be set to Start/Stop

Sync Playback to display should be disabled otherwise it will kill all Audio Passthrough.

@wrxtasy
Ich have done all that, reinstalled, with default Settings etc. but didnt fix the Problem

@HTSkywalker

The Shitty Build ist located here http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/arm/

It seems to fake Paththrouh through PCM, dont know if that makes things worse in terms of sound quality...but its ok for me atm
I had this same problem too with 17.6. It only happens with 5.1 AC3 sound settings etc. Disabling that and playing normal 2.0 pcm works fine. If I used the shitty builds then my DTS-MA and Dolby True HDr would not work correctly on 4k vids and others.

At the moment I am just living with the 5.1 AC3 issues.

 @Mages

in my case it happened with DTS Sounds ONLY. So your Problem maybe something different ?

Maybe. best bet I reckon is just to post a debug log sometime.

The really interesting question now would be "What is the Difference between the shitty build and the Regular build"
 The shitty build has a 1-2 line difference (in terms of code) from the regular build.  The shitty build uses the old unsupported passthrough allowing the reciever to detect the signal and process. The problem is if the signal is not processed it could emit a sound harmful to a human's ears.  If you need to use the shitty build to get your audio to work more than likely your box doesn't have the official Android firmware (but probably a modified tablet version).

I know because I've been using Fritsch's Shitty build since 17.0 Beta 3 to get DTS 5.1 to work on my X96 custom android box.  It has been performing in a stable fashion since then.
