Hi All,
I am running Kodi 17.6 with tvheadend pvr add-in 4.2.4 on Ubuntu 16.04 and am having trouble getting reliable subtitles (closed captions). Generally, subtitles are displayed quite well, but on some DVB-T channels they are often duplicated (one above the other). I have not been able to see any clear pattern to when the text is duplicated, but it tends to happen more often than not on the affected channels.
When I analyse the video stream from tvheadend using ffprobe, it shows that there is only one stream of subtitles present (type dvd_teletext) and I can extract this stream using ffmpeg and it does not show any duplicates.
I assume that the tvheadend pvr add-in is somehow duplicating the text from the subtitle stream before it's sent to the video player.
I would be keen for any suggestions about how I can further trouble-shoot this issue.
Thanks,
Mal
