I noticed this bug earlier with older versions of Kodi 17 (17.4 - 17.6). Last time I tried a Nightly version of Kodi 18.
The problem is that the source locking described here does not work everywhere: http://kodi.wiki/view/Media_sources#Locking.
Please look at the attached picture: If I go over the directory marked with the 1. and try to open a locked source, I will be asked to enter the PIN. But if I go directly to the source in the list that is marked with 2. in the screenshot, then I can go there without entering my PIN.
