Live TV in Kodi 18 with the MediaPortal pvr addon buffers alot, even with SD channels on my new Philips TV.
With the DVBViewer pvr addon it's totally fine. The big difference between the two addons is, MediaPortal is reading from smb source
while DVBViewer uses http i think. The strange thing is, there's no problem with recordings from a smb source.
I can even play the timeshift file of MediaPortal's tv backend via smb in Kodi's video library without problems.
