novice question but can someone explain why I would need to 'schedule full exports' if I have the 'watch for changes in cloud folder' selected? I've never really understood it completely so I keep both checked but exporting takes long. Can anyone explain this to me?

I face the same issue but in my case it's android tv and I don't know how to create log files, the addon just worked fine until 3 or 4 days, now after installing version 1.4.8 from the repository and expoting .strm files ,some times they work fine and sometimes they just create empty tv shows or don't export at all no matter how many times I try. Does any one have the solution for this issue

Kodi - Settings - System 

Setup Expert on left and go into Logging
So enable debug logging

I guess that is time to mount in my raspberry, my team drive, and share folder with kodi, to avoid any issue, if are impossible to fix

Your debug log is incomplete, but says it created 34 strm files in your local Download folder. All looks good in your log file. I would need a complete log file or just make sure you are checking the correct folder.

And about your Firestick 4k, now it make sense. If you are using the SD card to storage your strm files, you should use a fast one. Class 10 or something similar. SQLite needs an storage with good performance. Or just try with the internal memory.

As you can see also, cpu is pretty high and is stuck on there, watching changes.. and nothing create in folder.

Does the source option works ?? I added it as source and got some shows scanned into the library. But failed to play the video, Exporting some shows as .strm files is not working

Take a look at the comments.

It is possible this is an issue with the recent updates in Kodi.
Can you try with Kodi version 18.7?

Moving / altering a folder with a large number of files (like a BDMV folder) anywhere in google drive, not just the watched folders, will cause the add-on to "process changes" for an hour and a half or so.  Not much of a problem if you know what's causing it and just handle folders like that on a different google account, but I'd thought I'd post it here since it took me a minute to determine the cause.  I presume the api needs to watch for changes across all of GD and can't be focused to just the folders that export to .strms?

That is correct. The API provided by google watches on the entire drive. Once the changes list is provided to the addon, it has to check if any of these changes belong to any exported folder and act accordingly.
You can disable the progress notifications in the addon settings if this causes annoyances.

Hello, i am getting error notices apparently related to this addon. Something about an "ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position..."
Everything still seems to work so far, the only related thread i could google is from the emby forum, the problem seemed to be a special character in the naming of a file. I went through my recently added files on Google Drive and couldnt find any typo's.
