Hey there!

Im new here and to the Raspberry World.

I am looking for a solution and i hope to find it right here.

My Problem is as following:

I installed OSMC on my Raspberry and can already control it via the Kodi Webinterface.

The Raspberry itself should be in a different room playing one videofile on a usb stick connected to ethernet on startup.

The tricky part is that i want the Raspberry to mute all audio at around 7pm and play all audio again at around 8am. And in the best case without any "volume muted" graphic overlay.

Maybe some of you got a solution for that?

best regards
Just brainfarting here, but perhaps you can do a Kodi-send action command and do a 'mute', which is activated via a bash script that is triggered via a cron job at 7pm each day. Not showing the mute overlay is a bit trickier... You could vandalize and take it out in the skin you are using.
hey! i figured it out by using a omxplayer command line. so im not getting the graphic overlays.

still figuring cron tabs out =)
