Hello Folks,

a. I am using the Kodi 17.6 Krypton Version and Have installed Kodi on Amazon Fire TV [Not the Stick].
c. Have setup a Static IP for both my Wireless and Wired network for the Amazon Fire TV.
d. But when I switch on Kodi and check the "System Information", it always shows some default "MAC Number" and "IP Number: 192.168.49.1".

I see in some forums regarding this issue way back from 2016 but haven't seen any resolution. Is anyone still facing this issue? Or is this been resolved ? Can anyone kindly comment/provide info on the same and do the needful help !

Thanks in Advance !

In some of the other forum messages, I see this as cosmetic issue? Is this so ?

        a. When I tried pinging http://192.168.49.1:8080 it goes un-identified.
        b. But when I tried pining http://<static IP which I set>:8080 I was able to access the Kodi API with the user name and password and browse through the files.

Can anyone please clarify the issue if you have come across it ! Thanks !

It's a cosmetic issue, the IP you see is the interface the Fire TV device receives communication from the Fire TV remote which uses WiFi Direct.
