Kodi 18 looks like a huge step in the right direction, there are however a large list of things that no longer works, or at least works differently from 17. I'm working on a skin that's completely fubar in 18 (fork of Arctic Zephyr), I also have a homegrown music remote app that no longer can read or fetch any artist/album information apart from a preloaded playlist - meaning I can't play anything from library view. I'm working on an addon that combines playlists/channels from different customizable online sources (such as youtube, Dailymotion and from other video addons) with library integration. It works in 16, partially in 17 and not at all in 18.

Has someone made a list of major changes? Reading up on all Github commits is somewhat time consuming.
You're possibly a little early, as Leia is still pre-alpha and just appearing as nightlies at the moment.

Once there is an official alpha release then there should be a full changelog published as well, but until that stage you're stuck with the Git commits and comments I think.

What I can find at the moment is:

Kodi v18 (Leia) changelog (wiki)
Leia API changes (wiki)
Kodi v18 (Leia) FAQ (wiki)

But as noted it's still evolving and changing so things may shift somewhat, and of course documentation will always lag somewhat behind the actual code.
In case those threads I've pointed out are not up to date, you can use labels to filter what you need on github, so these most probably would be

Thanks both, I had planned to keep working on my addons for 17, but 18 is the first release I've been super excited about, might as well try to jump into it immediately
