Hi all, I have searched but have not came across anyone else having the same issue:
It seems that after the android TV 7 upgrade with the new assistant, and the latest nightly of v18 voice input no longer works on Kodi as it once did see:

Does anyone know of a fix, or a build that it works on?

Moved from Development to Android forums

Just pull up the onscreen keyboard and long press select on the remote, that will allow for voice input.

Same issue, no voice to text within kodi

Seems no one cares to read

Same issue with 18-beta2 on Nvidia Shield TV 2017, Android 8.
The workaround with long press doesn't work.
