Full Version: built-in function to shutdown TV over CEC

At the moment there is a built-in function called CECStandby which is apparently not invoking the CEC command "standby 0" (shutdown TV) but "is" (inactivate source). So there is currently no way to shutdown the TV immediately over CEC.
The problem with the current situation is that Samsung TVs are switching afterwards the source to TV or whatever and so never shut down.

Thats why I would request such a feature to invoke the "standby 0" command (maybe called CECShutdown or whatever).
There is some kind of crude workaround by using cec-client and sending the command "standby 0" but this ends in kodi being kicked out of the cec communication. So you have to restart kodi after cec-client use...
This problem still exists. Are there any plans to fix this?
