Kodi Community Forum

Hello, I've been using a cheap amlogic andriod box, stuck on 4.4.2, so it's been running an off brand kodi fork to install the lastest add ons. It works but it's painfully slow navigating the ui.
I've read the "pick the right kodi box" thread but I don't know what to make of it. Basically I want something that will run kodi smooth and snappy, like my pc does. I'm no connoisseur of the audiovisual stuff the old box cut it for me in that department.
I'm open to all options?

Don't compare an Android box with a PC, because it usually is a mismatch. Video play can be just as good as a PC (sometimes better), but a PC usually has better/faster network and storage support.

The current stable cheap devices that are supported by LibreELEC are the Odroid C2 and the Wetek HUB, which are S905 devices. If you only deal with 1080p videos, the Raspberry Pi 3 is still a good contender.
