Hi Guys,
I bought a little "M BOX" with Kodi (Jarvis) for my 5 year old's tv in his bedroom and for about a year it's been working fine. He's happily been watching movies and tv shows that are on an external drive on my windows 7 computer (used as a media centre). That was until yesterday. For all files it said the file could not be found and asked if i'd like to remove the title. I checked that it was still on the network fine and had internet access. I can be pinged but it can not see or re-add the files on the network.
I reset to factory install and it still doesn't work.
I installed KODI on my Windows 10 desktop and it can add the SMB location "192.168.1.10/movies" just fine.
So I installed KODI on my Android phone. When I add the same SMB location that worked on my desktop, it instantly tells me it timed out and won't add. Yet ES File Explorer can add the server and view and play the files from the same phone.
What seems to be special about android in my situation that causes a KODI problem all of a sudden? What should I check?
